I am a multi-disciplinary artists and work in installation, sculpture, video and sound. My work fosters a keen interest in the manipulation and adaptation of new media. Through this process I explore the premise of architectured pseudo-realities in both virtual and ‘real’ life, exposing issues of repression, projection, voyerism and control. My installations are often constructed environments which mimic sites and spaces usually only accessible online.
My work questions the philosophical and ethical issues that technology raises, namely, the borders between art and life and virtual and embodied spectatorship, the ethics of robotics and the responsibilities of the artist to the art of machines.
I have exhibited internationally and am co -founder of Cork Contemporary Projects (CCP) I am a member of the International Association of CyberPsychology, Training & Rehabilitation (iACToR) and the Social Networking and Media Association (SNAMA)
